I'm very much on the sidelines in this kind of thing, and had a hard time keeping track of who was actually participating in these discussions with Microsoft (presumably behind closed doors). It's encouraging that the other browser vendors aren't acquiescing. The more I think about the idea, the more incomprehensible it gets.</description>

It would be impossible to compete if we did.  We could forget about browsers like Opera Mini for a start, and as the primary way people get our browser is via downloading it, the file size would become prohibitory large.</description>
